Just before the premiere of Star Wars JEDI: Survivor Last year, game director Stig Asmussen suggested that he had envisioned the series as a trilogy with Cal Kestis from the beginning. Well, if you think the young Padawan's story ended with the second game, you're very wrong: EA recently confirmed that there will indeed be a third game — and that it will be the “final chapter.”
During the most recent Investors Day 2024 presentation last Tuesday (17), EA's president of entertainment and technology, Laura Miele, spoke about the future of the series. The executive confirmed that developer Respawn Entertainment is working on the sequel to Star Wars JEDI: Survivorwhich she described as the “final chapter” of the saga.

“We delivered some of the games of Star Wars “The highest quality and best-selling franchise of all time, with over $5 billion in net reserves,” the executive said at the investor event. She also confirmed that Cal Kestis will return to the title, as expected.
“This impressive track record includes, of course, the games in the Star Wars JEDIwhere over 40 million fans of the franchise have connected with Cal Kestis and his journey to become a powerful Jedi. Now, Respawn is hard at work bringing the final chapter of this thrilling story to players,” Miele confirmed.
Director of the first and second Star Wars JEDI is no longer at EA
The next game in the series will not be directed by Stig Asmussen, who was responsible for both Fallen Order How much Survivor. The developer left Respawn Entertainment in September last year and has since formed a new independent AAA studio.
Before leaving, Asmussen said he hoped to make a third game Star Wars JEDI because he always envisioned it as a three-game arc. “I always wanted to see it as a trilogy,” he explained to IGN at the time of the release of Survivor.

“We had a pretty decent idea of the time period we wanted it to be in. Survivor “What would happen, what the stakes would be, what the tone of the game would be, what Cal would face and how the team would approach it. And there are ideas of what we could do beyond that as well,” Asmussen said.
Shortly after the release of Star Wars JEDI: Survivor Last year, a job listing revealed that the sequel was already in the works at Respawn — and was later confirmed by actor Cameron Monaghan, who plays Cal Kestis. It is worth remembering that the sequel also arrived last Tuesday (17) on PS4 and Xbox One.
