Intel announced on Monday (16) a US$3 billion (approximately R$16.5 billion) in funding from the United States government. The good news caused the company's shares to rise 6.4% in the final moments of market trading.
The money comes from CHIPS and Science Acta program to strengthen national companies in the science and technology sectors, especially semiconductors. Intel is one of the few brands on the market with the capacity to work in both the design and manufacturing of processors, which increases its importance in the industry.
