Every now and then, car manufacturers like to show off what they can do when they don't have to worry so much about costs or sales volume, among other factors. The all-new Ford Mustang GTD is a perfect example of this creative exercise.
First unveiled in August 2023, the Mustang GTD is essentially a street-legal GT3. It starts out as a regular Mustang at the Flat Rock plant in the US, then is driven to Canada where teams at Ford Performance and supplier Multimatic transform it into the monstrous GTD.
